RM Auction at Monterey 2013 with Schumacher Cargo Logistics present to witness this historical event.
1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 NART Spider SOLD $27,500,000
The big news this weekend from the RM Auction at Monterey in Northern California, was the sale of a very rare and unique 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4*S NART Spyder.
Schumacher Cargo Logistics was on hand and present to witness this historical event, as the car, one of the only ten were made, reached a record sale price of $27.5 million.
This was the most paid at auction for a car by an Italian manufacturer anywhere in the world and the most for any car bought at a U.S. public sale.
This is probably the most beautiful of all Ferrari cars. Some of the biggest collectors in the world own one, and Steve McQueen tried to buy this one after he crashed his own in the 1960's.
Estimated by RM at $14 million to $17 million, the convertible had been entered for charity by family of the late North Carolina businessman Eddie Smith Sr., the car's one and only owner
